Wiz Khalifa gets inspired by late night on “Letterman,” the first offering from his forthcoming mixtape, Laugh Now, Fly Later.
Over hypnotic production, Mister Cap raps about haters with a reference to former “Late Show” host David Letterman. “These dudes ain’t got no wins,” he raps. “Still gon’ talk like Letterman / Girls at the front door, let ’em in / Hoes at the front door, let ’em in.”
Later, the Taylor Gang boss references Brother Love. “I’m gon’ turn up and hit a lick,” he raps. “Ni**as that hate don’t benefit / Puffy, all about my Benjamins.”
“Letterman” is a single off Wiz’s 10-track mixtape Laugh Now, Fly Later, which drops Friday (Nov. 10).
