Tamar Braxton Breaks Silence on Vincent Herbert Divorce
Tamar Braxton breaks her silence. Shortly after filing for divorce from her estranged husband of nine years, Vincent Herbert, the R&B songstress speaks out.
Addressing haters and fans alike, Braxton assured fans that her pending divorce has nothing to do with her career. Instead, she described unhappiness in the relationship. “I told myself I would do whatever it took to keep my family together,” she explained, “to see a smile on someone who has seen us smile on their face hoping we could offer them hope,faith,Love& dignity that I️ once possessed. But the truth is all of those things are NOT within the marriage of Tamar & Vince…at least not anymore.”
Braxton went on to reveal that her marriage was “broken” and that she couldn’t be “further apart” from Herbert at this time, just weeks before their Nov. 27 anniversary. “I decided I didn’t want to be married for the sake of saying so,” she added. “I wanted to have a relationship. Someone to share my/our dreams,our successes, our failures,our past,present & future with..& not finding out shit online…some of us have been living a LIE!”

The lengthy caption to a blurred-out image also appeared to reference infidelity and other transgressions. “sometimes when things R shared,what’s NOT being surfaced is that he has one or several girlfriends,or she’s never home,or he’s very general when he speaks,or ‘this doesn’t sound like him’ or he’s so busy lately!!.etc.etc.,” she continued. “u have to think to yourself?When is enough enough? Is it ok that he checks up on u when his phone(s) R stuck to him like glue?Is it ok that his friends are HIS friends but my friends are ‘our’ friends? Braxton filed for divorce last month. Her mother Evelyn Braxton said she feared for her daughter’s life. “I don’t really have anything to say to Vince,” she said. “Only one thing: Keep his hands off of my child. Stop before he hurts her or kills her. I love them but I don’t want him to kill my child. It’s as simple as that.”
Before filing for divorce, Braxton spoke about infidelity during an interview with “The Breakfast Club.” “Can he have a side chick?” she said. “No, he can’t have a side chick, but if he has a side chick, I would hope that he’s respectful about it? A lot of people are not real with themselves. With successful men…comes certain things. This is what happens when a man becomes success, he buys jewelry, a big ol’ house, and he gets a side chick.”
Braxton is coming off the release of her final album, Bluebird of Happiness. “Tamar & Vince” premieres Nov. 9.
