Meek Mill Working Several Prison Jobs for 19 Cents/Hour

  /  12.07.2017

After having his emergency bail motion rejected, Meek Mill is serving 2-4 years at the Chester State Correctional Institution for probation violations.

As part of the general labor crew there, Meek is working several jobs at 19 cents an hour, according to a rep who says that he remains a model inmate with rewards for good behavior, as per TMZ.

His jobs include cleaning the cell block, cooking and serving food, washing dishes, and beautifying prison grounds. His rewards for good behavior include access to electrical and carpentry shops. He is also on a waitlist for therapy courses.

Today, the Associated Press also reported that Meek’s bail motion was rejected by an appeals court. His legal team filed an appeal after Judge Genece Brinkley, who also sentenced him, rejected a similar motion while calling him a “danger to the community.”

Mill’s legal team, which vows to continue the fight for his freedom, has also accused Judge Brinkley of improper conduct. They have also filed a motion to remove her from the case.
