New Music: Quavo & Nicki Minaj - 'She for Keeps'

Quavo and Nicki Minaj play for keeps. After racing together in the “MotorSport” video, the Young Money queen reunites with the Migos MC on “She for Keeps,” a track off Quality Control’s new Control the Streets Volume 1 compilation.

Over Frank Dukes and Murda Beatz production, Quavo provides a syrupy Auto-Tuned hook and matching verse about his girl, wondering if she has what it takes to be a keeper. “Nails and hair all long, shoppin’ spree in Hong Kong,” he sing-raps. “Ass fat in her jeans, she don’t like to wear thong / She gon’ make you sing this song.”

For her part, Nicki delivers a melodic verse about her place in the game, going back to a prominent theme in her discography, telling other female rappers that they’re her sons. “Rap bitches is on my nuts, call ’em Chip ‘n’ Dale,” she raps. “These bitches can’t see me, they should all be reading braille / Pull off in that GT with some Seagrams Ginger Ale / Tell that bitch I’m Oprah, she couldn’t even be Gail.”

“She for Keeps” is one of 30 tracks on QC’s Control the Streets Volume 1. Featuring Cardi B, Lil Yachty, Tee Grizzley, Lil Baby, Kodak Black, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, and Gucci Mane, the new compilation can be streamed here.
