Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj give Post Malone and 21 Savage’s “rockstar” a “5 Star” remix on their collaboration off Weezy’s new Dedication 6 mixtape.
The revamped banger kicks off with Barbie on the infectious hook, which borrows its melody from the original. After that, the Young Money queen unleashes a few shots at her rivals, including a possible reference to Remy Ma and Papoose.
“I am the queen,” she brags. “I’m everything she lacks / Bitch get on your kneecap / I don’t mean C. Kaep / I’ll get you checked, pussy, I’ll get you a free pap / You bitches don’t ball out, you get your QB sacked.”
Tunechi had some fun repurposing the hook to Posty’s chart-topping heater, as well. “I just fucked like five hoes in my mansion, got ’em feelin’ like they 5 star,” he sings. “Your hoes throwin’ fits, my bitches patient, man, I feel just like a doctor.”
After the song was released on Christmas, Nicki explained her loyalty to Wayne. “If I live to be 100 years old, you’ll still never be able to find interviews or footage of any sort of me dissing him in any way,” she tweeted. “That’s for the birds. Loyalty to the death. Silence when u don’t have anything good to say. Now THAT’S #QueenTingz Blessings & Merry Christmas.”
Arriving four years after Dedication 5, D6 also features appearances from Gudda Gudda, HoodyBaby, Baby E., Cory Gunz, and Zoey Dollaz.
