Lil Uzi Vert to Release New Song 'Mood' This Week

  /  01.02.2018

Lil Uzi Vert is starting off 2018 in a good “Mood,” thanks to a new collaboration with TM88, Southside, and Marshmello.

On New Year’s Day, Southside and TM88 revealed the song’s artwork, a psychedelic assortment of neon-colored pills. Southside’s caption reveals the release date is set for this Friday, Jan. 5.

Uzi shared a preview of the thumping track on social media with one of his signature dancing videos last year.

“Ooh,” he sing-raps. “Why you wanna mess up my mood / Wish that you were me ’cause you’re not cool / Lookin’ like a fool / Like a dog barking at the moon.”

The “XO TOUR Llif3” MC has promised that this year will be a big one from him. “2018 I won’t slow down Fast Life Fast Life Fast Life,” he tweeted. “Oh yea I let it slide 2017 but if you tryna BE LIKE UZI 2018 we not having it and we as in ME Cause I’m Still Alone.”

In July, TM88 told Rap-Up that he’s been hard at work with Uzi. “We’ve really been working,” he said. “I just talked to him yesterday so I gotta send him some more beats.”

At the time, TM also teased a new 808 Mafia project. “Me and Southside are working on this 808 Mafia album,” he said. “We got Future, Gucci, Thug, there’s a lot of people. It’s executive produced by me, but we got somebody else that’s big helping me out too.”
