Remy Ma Previews Scathing 'Roll in Peace' Remix

  /  01.07.2018

Remy Ma is reloaded for 2018. After feuding with Nicki Minaj, the battle-tested MC delivers another scathing rhyme, this time at an unnamed target over Kodak Black’s “Roll in Peace” instrumental.

Reminisce previewed the fiery track on Instagram, while mouthing the words to her blistering disses. “You can’t fuck with me, baby, you don’t understand, bitch / This for Remy Mafia, I do this for my fans, bitch,” she raps. “I get 100 bands, bitch / You ain’t even got no man, bitch / Why would I give you a chance, shorty, when I can give you these hands, bitch? / You don’t want smoke with me / You really a joke to me.”

Later, she continues her slights. “She envy me / She wanna be Remy / And she ain’t even Hennessy / You ain’t gonna come for me / Bitch, you ain’t gonna send for me / I got all these friend requests from back-up pages of my enemies.”

The snippet prompted speculations over who the rhymes could be about. Some wondered if these were shots at Azealia Banks, since the two engaged in a recent back-and-forth on social media. Others pondered whether Remy’s relationship with Cardi had soured, particularly due to the Henny reference, since Bacardi’s sister’s name is Hennessy.

In any case, Remy is working on her sophomore album, 7 Winters & 6 Summers, which is slated to arrive at some point this year. She and Papoose are also rumored to be expecting their first child together.
