Video: Cassie - 'Don't Play It Safe'

Jellyfish, tigers, and teddy bears, oh my. Cassie is far from cautious in the whimsical video for her latest single, “Don’t Play It Safe.”

Directed by Life Garland, the visual features a slew of special effects, including a rainbow flying high above Cassie. Soon, she’s lounging with a tiger and hummingbirds, swimming with jellyfish and stingrays, being winked at by a teddy bear, and strutting around Rodeo Drive. Her beau Diddy’s DeLeón Tequila is also prominently featured throughout.

“Don’t Play It Safe” includes production from Kaytranada, who is set to release more new music with Cassie soon. “Kay and I have been working on this project for a while now,” she said. “I look forward to everyone hearing what we have in store. He just gets me.”

The fantasy-driven visual follows her self-titled short film, which was released in October along with her “Love a Loser” video featuring G-Eazy. Cassie is slated to drop more new tracks in the coming months.
