Video: Young M.A. - 'I Get the Bag Freestyle'
Young M.A. is all about her money in the video for “I Get the Bag Freestyle.”
Directed by Marc Diamond, the 4-minute visual features a casual M.A. in a red beanie, white T-shirt, black pants, and black Timbs, with a black Louis Vuitton bag across her shoulders. Looking at the camera, the BK MC unleashes a fierce rhyme without a hook.
The potent remix is M.A.’s take on Gucci Mane’s Migos-assisted banger off last year’s Mr. Davis, allowing the “Ooouuu” star to get personal and reflective. “Hennessy was my obsession just to get through my depression,” she raps. “That was kind of my confessions / We need more spitters, less funny-looking ni**as, that’s just my suggestion.”
Elsewhere on the song, the Brooklyn rhymer, who used to go by @hennynhoes on Instagram, denounces her old lifestyle. “Had to get my pennies right / Had to change my diet up just to get me right,” she adds. “I remember plenty nights / Living that Henny life never did me right.”
Young M.A. says this is just a sign of things to come. “I had to give y’all a freemix to start the year off right,” she wrote. “More music coming soon!! 2018 we ain’t lettin up! Still the Kween!!”
