Fetty Wap Avoids Jail Time in Drunk Driving Case

  /  03.01.2018

Fetty Wap has had 13 out of 15 charges dropped in his drunk driving case, which stems from a November arrest in New York City.

The New Jersey rapper will avoid doing jail time after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated and reckless endangerment, according to TMZ.

Additionally, he is being asked to pay a $500 fine and complete 14 hours of driving school.

Fetty was arrested on Nov. 3, 2017 for racing a 2015 Mercedes-Benz against another vehicle at 100 miles per hour in a 50 mph zone at approximately 1 a.m. He blew a 0.9 on the breathalyzer after being questioned by police.

Several of the original charges were dropped, including drag racing, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving without a license, unsafe lane changing, and following too close.

Fetty Wap is currently working on his sophomore album King Zoo, the long-awaited and oft-delayed follow-up to his 2015 self-titled debut.
