2 Chainz, YG, & Offset Shoot 'Proud' Video With Their Moms

  /  03.09.2018

2 Chainz, YG, and Offset are about to make their mamas “Proud” in the video for their collaboration off Tity Boi’s The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It EP.

While the trio of MCs linked up in the clip, their mothers also make appearances, according to Hair Weave Killer, who shared images of the “Proud” moms on Instagram. “I decided to let our moms shine in this video,” he captioned a series of behind-the-scenes photos.

The treatment makes perfect sense given the track’s concept, which is all about making mama “Proud.” “My mama ain’t raise no ho,” raps YG. “‘Cause my mama ain’t no ho.” Offset adds: “Mike Jack in his prime with Madonna / I’m just tryna bring her to my mama.”

Tity Boi shared a video from the set that shows all three moms dancing to the track and more photos show him and his mother enjoying a sunny afternoon together.

Shortly after filming the video, Chainz was back in the lab, working on his next full-length project, Rap or Go to the League. “This what we do for a living,” he explained on Instagram Stories.

Rap or Go to the League is due later this year via Def Jam.
