A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is on a daily mission. The 22-year-old Highbridge MC once again delivers on his song-a-day promise with “Best Friend” featuring Tory Lanez.
It’s an infectious collaboration. Over upbeat Jaegen and Nahum production, Boogie rhymes about his former best friend. He also explains why their friendly bond crumbled in the bed sheets. “We used to be best friends until we started sexin’,” he sing-raps. “What’s next, girl? It’s up to you / Can we still be best friends after what just happened?”
Later, Tory adds his melodic flavor to the record. “All of the rumors are probably true,” he concedes. “It’s something I’d probably do / I gotta be honest with you.”
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is dropping new songs all week. The catchy “Best Friend” follows “Right Moves” and the YFN Lucci-assisted “One Nighter”—and he has even more in the stash.
