New Music: BlocBoy JB feat. 21 Savage - 'Rover 2.0'
After making waves with Drake on “Look Alive,” BlocBoy JB rides out with 21 Savage on “Rover 2.0.”
Over a piano-laden instrumental, BlocBoy rhymes about his come-up. “Made a hunnid plays in the Focus,” he raps. “Gotta maintain, stay focused / Ridin’ in the motherfuckin’ Rover / Ni**a talkin’ down, I don’t know ya.”
The Saint Laurent Don doesn’t fully follow the theme. Instead, he rolls up in a Bentley Bentayga. Then, he reps Slaughter Gang to the fullest. “We came to shoot ya kick back up,” he raps. “Ni**a disrespect me, he get shit-bagged up / We done wit’ her, come and pick yo’ bitch back up.”
BlocBoy is fresh off major success. His Drake collaboration soared on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 5. Five weeks later, it’s still a top 10 single. “Rover 2.0” is an updated version of the original, which dropped earlier this year.
