Report: Kris Jenner Guiding Kanye West & Travis Scott's Careers

Kris Jenner, who built her family’s reality television-based empire, is now reportedly guiding the careers of Kanye West and Travis Scott.

Changes are already underway. Yeezy recently parted ways with his longtime manager Izvor “Izzy” Zivkovic last month. Meanwhile, La Flame severed ties with Mark Gillespie’s Three Six Zero Management at around the same time. Sources say Jenner was behind both of those critical moves, according to Page Six.

“Kris is in [West’s] ears,” said an insider. “Kanye’s been making changes and [he and Zivkovic] have grown apart. But Kris definitely gives her opinion and Kanye’s all ears. She’s about brand building and is gangster at it. She also told Travis Scott to fire Mark Gillespie. They are 100 percent part of that Kardashian-Jenner brand.”

Jenner already has strong ties with Kanye and Travis. She is West’s mother-in-law, grandmother to his three children, North, Saint, and Chicago. The multimedia mogul is also the mother of Scott’s girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, and the grandmother of their newborn, Stormi.

Kanye’s gushed about his mom-in-law. In 2013, he appeared on her short-lived talk show, while he was living with her. “Now, when I’m out, I try to get home early,” he explained. “Just to be around my family.”

Kanye and Travis’ connection also continues. The duo previously collaborated on “Champions,” “Piss On Your Grave,” and “Sin City.” Recently, they reportedly worked together on new material in Wyoming. La Flame is also rumored to be executive producing G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Winter compilation.

UPDATE: Kylie Jenner says Kris Jenner is not managing Kanye West or Travis Scott, despite what certain outlets are reporting. “This is not true,” she tweeted in response to an article that made the allegation. A Kardashian source also denied those reports.

“Kris loves Kanye and Travis, but she’s too busy to manage their careers,” the insider told ET. “Kris is focusing on Kylie and Kim’s makeup lines [Kylie Cosmetics and KKW Beauty], as well as managing all her kids. Aside from that, Kris is busy filming ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ almost every day.”

Kylie Jenner and the source did not deny that Kris may be guiding Kanye West and Travis Scott on their future endeavors. As the original story points out, Jenner was reportedly vital to recent management changes for both artists, even if she isn’t taking over management duties herself.
