Drake to Release New Single Friday
Set your clocks. Drake is about to drop new music.
During Majid Jordan’s show at Rebel nightclub in Toronto on Thursday, the 6 God announced that his new single will arrive on Friday night (April 6).
“The reason I’m here tonight is because I’m back in the city finishing my album,” he told the hometown crowd. “I got a new single dropping tomorrow night too, just in case you got some free time.”

It’s unclear which song he plans to drop. Last month during an Instagram Live session, he revealed that he was readying a new single produced by Murda Beatz.
Drake has been in Toronto putting in long hours on his fifth studio album, his first since 2016’s Views, which he says is “for the city.”
The new single follows Drake’s Scary Hours project, which spawned “Diplomatic Immunity” and the smash “God’s Plan,” which has remained No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks straight.
