Safaree's Armed Robbery Caught on Camera

  /  04.11.2018

Safaree Samuels’ armed robbery was caught on surveillance video. The newly-released clip, published by TMZ, shows the theft taking place.

Two armed men approach Safaree and a friend with guns drawn. The robbers appear to take cash and valuables, before making SB and his friend lay on the ground with their faces down. Once the thieves leave, Safaree and his friend also run away from the scene of the crime.

Law enforcement officials arrested Shawn Harewood and Jonathan Ricketts in connection with the robbery. Police apprehended the men following a pursuit from New Jersey into New York. Safaree reportedly knows Harewood well, but the two haven’t spoken since SB’s Nicki Minaj breakup.

Safaree’s legal team claims this was a targeted attack. The “Love & Hip Hop” star also told law enforcement officials that he lost $183,000 in cash and jewelry. Following the robbery, Safaree spoke about the experience on Power 105. “I just got robbed at gunpoint,” he said. “A couple of hours ago, I just got robbed. Two dudes with guns just ran up on me, me face down on the floor with a gun to my head. They just took everything.”

“It’s traumatizing,” he added. “It just keeps replaying.”
