Video: Daniel Caesar & H.E.R. - 'Best Part'

Daniel Caesar and H.E.R. get wavy. Fresh off their “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” performance, the soulful duo joins forces once again in the video for their “Best Part” collaboration.

It’s a beachside affair. The clip provides a split-screen view of Daniel at sunrise and H.E.R. at sunset. Caesar is backed by a pink and blue sky, while H.E.R. maintains her mystique, silhouetted by the fiery orange and purple sunset.

The juxtaposition works wonders. As waves crash behind them, the crooning duo sings about life as a film. “If life is a movie, then you’re the best part,” they sing. “If you love me, won’t you say something?”

This is more than just a video. In fact, Daniel Caesar and H.E.R. used the cinematic clip as a backdrop during their “Kimmel” performance, which also served as H.E.R.’s TV debut.

“Best Part” appeared on Daniel Caesar’s debut Freudian and H.E.R.’s Vol. 2: The B Sides EP. Both projects dropped last year to critical praise.
