Lauryn Hill Announces 'Miseducation' 20th Anniversary Tour

  /  04.17.2018

It’s been 20 years since Lauryn Hill released her venerated debut album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. To celebrate the 1998 release, L Boogie is hitting the road this summer.

The North American trek kicks off July 5 in Virginia Beach before hitting Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Atlanta, Las Vegas, San Diego, and New Orleans, wrapping in St. Louis on Oct. 5. Pre-sale tickets are available starting today.

L Boogie is experiencing a rejuvenation of sorts right now. Cardi B’s “Be Careful” and Drake’s “Nice for What” both sample her Miseducation classic “Ex-Factor.” “Careful” is sitting at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, while “Nice” leads the chart.

“We was really nervous about [it],” Cardi recently said of the song. “If she didn’t approve it, it’s a no-go. She approved it. She had to hear the record to approve it or not. Not only was I relieved, but I was like, I cannot believe Lauryn Hill approved this record. I don’t care about anybody else. This is Lauryn Hill. For her to approve it, it’s the biggest stamp to it. Nobody can talk shit about this record to me. The sensei approved it.”
