Watch Meek Mill Return to the Stage at Rolling Loud

  /  05.13.2018

Meek Mill surprised Miami’s Rolling Loud festival when he returned to the stage for his first performance since being released from prison last month.

Taking the stage on the second day of the 3-day event on Saturday (May 12), Meek replaced Cardi B, who had to cancel due to her pregnancy. Introduced by DJ Khaled, the Philadelphia MC launched into an energetic set. “Rolling Loud, what the fuck is up in this bitch?” he asked, before kicking off his performance with “On the Regular.”

During his set, Meek also provided a message to fans about his recent legal issues. “It feels good to be back and free in front of the motherfucking people,” he explained. “I want to say thank you to everybody that supported Meek Milly. They tried to take my freedom. They tried to crush my dreams. But now we in Miami, glowing the fuck up. Let’s get it.”

Prior to taking the stage, Meek went on an extensive press tour. While speaking on his opioid addiction, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, and Drake, he also opened up about justice reform. “The narrative is definitely justice reform,” he told Power 105’s Angie Martinez. “#FreeMeek is retired. We should never see that again or use that again ever in life. Justice reform, I hope everybody continues to push for.”
