Will Smith & Nicky Jam Drop World Cup Anthem 'Live It Up'

  /  05.25.2018

Big Willie is back. The multi-talented icon teams up with Latin superstar Nicky Jam and rising pop star Era Istrefi on “Live It Up,” the official song of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

Produced by Diplo, the dance floor-ready jam serves as a global anthem for the upcoming summer games. Over electro-pop production, Will unites with his uplifting lyrics, while Nicky flexes his bilingual flow.

“It’s an honor to be asked to perform at the 2018 FIFA World Cup,” said Smith. “This global event brings people from all over the world together to cheer, laugh, and experience magic. Collaborating with Nicky, Diplo, and Era on this track represents harmony, eclectic flavors and genres coming together. At the end of the day, we just want to see the world dance!”

They recently shot a video for the song in Budapest, where Will is shooting his new film, Gemini Man.

And there may be more to come from the former “Fresh Prince,” who hasn’t released an album in 13 years. Earlier this week, Will teased his return to the studio by previewing a freestyle. “Gettin’ back in the studio. Just warmin’ Up,” he said.

Will’s son Jaden is also cooking up new music. He recently enlisted Nicky Jam for the official remix to his gold-certified single “Icon.”
