Video: Rich the Kid feat. Pusha-T - 'Can't Afford It'

  /  06.05.2018

In the midst of his Drake beef, Pusha-T links up with Rich the Kid on a previously-unreleased track called “Can’t Afford It.”

It’s unclear when the song was recorded, but Push makes reference to a woman who may be Drake’s baby mama. “Baby, your self-esteem cannot be this low,” he raps. “Why is you fuckin’ this man? / You know he can’t afford it.”

He also raps about an unborn child. “He can’t afford you, baby, just abort it,” says King Push. “Nowadays you impressed by so little / I look at your top 5 ni**as as so middle / The rhymes don’t even riddle / The diamonds in your Rollies don’t skittle.”

For his part, Rich boasts about spending $50,000 in Barneys (“I got plenty more”), popping Off-White and Gucci tags, and buying Bentley trucks.

Earlier this week, Rap-A-Lot Records CEO J Prince revealed that Drake has recorded a response to Pusha, but it may never get released. “I saw it going in a place that I feel would have ended his career if Drake would have put out the song that he had on him,” he told “Sway in the Morning.” “And definitely would have hurt families. We not in it for that. That’s not Drake’s character. We not in business to tear our brother, fellow man down to that extent.”
