Video: Jay Rock - 'ES Tales'
After dropping a trio of videos off Redemption, Jay Rock gets animated in the video for “ES Tales.”
In the clip, directed by Dave Free (of The Little Homies) and Jack Begert, the Watts rapper wakes up to the sound of his son playing video games. He steps outside before seeing his world transform into an 8-bit video game where the cop cars are pixelated, women, and even his son. He continues to tell his street tales in pixelated form and eventually turns into a pixelated character himself. But in the end, it was all a dream.
“ES Tales” follows videos for the J. Cole-assisted “OSOM,” “The Bloodiest,” and “WIN” off Rock’s third album Redemption.
Next up, he will hit the road with special guest Reason on “The Big Redemption Tour,” starting Sept. 12 in Lawrence, Ky.
