Ella Mai Announces New Single 'Trip'

While “Boo’d Up” continues to burn up the charts, Ella Mai is readying the follow-up.

The British songstress has announced that her new single “Trip” will hit digital platforms on Friday, Aug. 3. It can now be pre-saved on Spotify.

The DJ Mustard-produced “Boo’d Up,” which appears on Mai’s 2017 EP Ready, is currently No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. The 23-year-old singer becomes the first woman to top three R&B/Hip-Hop Radio charts since Beyoncé in 2012. She is also the first U.K. artist to reach No. 1 on the U.S. R&B Singles chart since 1992.

Next up, Ella Mai will kick off her sold-out “Boo’d Up Tour” in Dallas, Tex. on Aug. 6. Her debut album is expected this fall.
