Lil Wayne is bowing down to the Queen.

In a recorded video message, the Young Money boss praised his protégée on the release of her new album. “First of all, I just want to congratulate the beautiful queen, Ms. Nicki Minaj, for the beautiful album Queen, which is to date, in my opinion, one of her best albums yet,” said Weezy.

However, he stopped short of calling it her best album ever. “I’m not gonna go out there on a limb and say it’s her best album because I could still listen to songs when she was a teenager,” added Wayne. “I still hear vocals or lyrics from there that to me is the best thing she’s ever said in her life.”

He continued, “To date, it’s one of the best albums yet, and I don’t mean out of her catalogue. I mean period. It is one of the best albums out there, period. … She spittin’ her ass off. She goin’ crazy on the album.”

He also singled out the much-talked-about “Barbie Dreams,” on which Nicki calls out her peers including Drake, 50 Cent, Meek Mill, and Weezy himself. “I love the fuckin’ song, everybody loves the song,” said Tunechi while joking, “But I really wish the song was a dedication song to me.”

Nicki, who has called Queen her best work to date, responded to the praise. “Speechless. Love him so much. Can’t believe he said this. Greatest rapper alive said this about me,” she tweeted.

The album is not only enjoying acclaim from critics and fans, but commercial success as well. According to Nicki, Queen is No. 1 in 81 countries. “#Queen is now #1 in 81 countries, becoming the first female rap album to do it. Thank you so much,” she wrote.
