Rihanna Taps Childish Gambino, Issa Rae for Diamond Ball 2018
The stars will be shining bright at Rihanna’s Diamond Ball.
The pop icon has announced the star-studded lineup for her fourth annual charity gala, which will be held on Sept. 13 at Cipriani’s Wall Street in New York. “Insecure” star Issa Rae will host the black-tie fundraiser, while Childish Gambino will perform.
“Issa Rae and Childish Gambino were the dream duo for the fourth Annual Diamond Ball and they’re coming,” Rihanna said in a statement. “We are honored and grateful to have them help us celebrate the Clara Lionel Foundation this year.”
Named after Rihanna’s grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite, the Clara Lionel Foundation was founded by Rihanna in 2012 to support and fund education, health, and emergency response programs around the world.
The 2017 Diamond Ball was hosted by Dave Chappelle and featured performances from Kendrick Lamar and Calvin Harris.
