50 Cent and Iggy Azalea Back Nicki Minaj in Steve Madden Feud

  /  10.31.2018

After calling a truce with Cardi B, Nicki Minaj has ignited another feud with Steve Madden.

The Queen rapper reveals that she turned down a deal with the shoemaker after Irv Gotti asked her several times to do it (Cardi later did a deal with Madden). But Madden had his own version of events, denying that there was ever an offer on the table. “@NICKIMINAJ you can’t turn down an offer that was never made,” he tweeted.

50 Cent weighed in by posting contradicting quotes from a 2015 interview with Madden, where he revealed that he originally tried to partner with Minaj, but ended up going with Iggy Azalea, a decision he regrets.

“I was gonna do a collaboration with Nicki Minaj and we got into a fight the first minute we met,” he told VIBE. “And then we patched it up. We were cool. We text each other; we became sort of buddies. We were thinking of doing something, and I would’ve, but I was with Iggy [Azalea] and I thought, ‘Coke and Pepsi.’ It was a mistake. I made a mistake and I wish that I could go back in time and work with Nicki instead of Iggy.”

50 defended Nicki by calling Madden a “liar.” “I guess he forgot he spoke on this already. smh liar,” he wrote. Minaj responded in the comments, writing, “This hoe ass ni**a came to my house in Malibu with Irv Gotti begging me to do the deal! My manager Gee Roberson was there. Can’t believe grown ass men getting on the internet lying like hoes.”

Iggy also jumped in to back Nicki by retweeting her post and writing “This is facts.” “Steve is a fuck boy,” she added. “He did some sidebar shit when my deal said I had full creative control, couldn’t handle being called out on it and then tried to publicly backtrack. Boy bye.”

Nicki thanked her for her support. “Thank you @IGGYAZALEA for confirming the truth about hoe ni**a Steve Madden,” Nicki tweeted. “Ya see when ya do clownery? The clown comes back to bite.”

She also thanked 50 Cent with a “random @50cent appreciation post.”

Madden then backtracked and issued an apology to Minaj. “@NICKIMINAJ is an incredibly talented artist but we couldn’t work together [because] the timing wasn’t right,” he said. “@iamcardib came on the scene and I had a fantastic collaboration with her, and she is also an amazing talent. I love both @NICKIMINAJ and @iamcardib music. I hope they can reach some peace — together they could probably take over the world. There is a lot of negativity out there right now, and I shouldn’t have contributed to that.”

But Nicki was not buying his apology and told him to kick rocks. “Eat a dick ni**a. You lied on me cuz it was the trendy thing 2do!” she tweeted. “Ain’t nobody buyin that clown shit. We couldn’t work together cuz I said the shoes were ugly. You see how when you do clownery it comes back to bite? WE NOT BUYING IT!!!!!! Respond to 50 instead of picking on women.”
