Rihanna Wants Trump to Stop Playing Her Music at His Rallies

Rihanna wants Trump to stop the music.

The singer shared her disapproval after learning that President Donald Trump was playing her music at one of his rallies.

On Sunday (Nov. 4), Washington Post reporter Philip Rucker tweeted that Rihanna’s 2007 single “Don’t Stop the Music” was being played at a rally in Chattanooga, Tennessee. RiRi saw the tweet and responded by vowing to put an end to it.

“Not for much longer,” she wrote, “me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies.”

According to Rucker, the song was played while aides tossed Trump T-shirts into the crowd. “Everyone’s loving it,” he said.

Rihanna’s tweet came hours after she endorsed Andrew Gillum, Democratic candidate for governor of Florida, on Instagram.

“Florida: You have the opportunity to make history this election,” said RiRi. “The US has only had four black governors in its entire history and we can help make #AndrewGillum the next one and Florida’s first.”

Rihanna is not the first to condemn Trump for using her music. Last week, Pharrell issued a cease and desist to the President after he played Pharrell’s hit “Happy” at a Midwest rally, just hours after the deadly Tree of Life synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh.
