Tory Lanez Crowns Himself the 'Best Rapper Alive'

  /  01.24.2019

Tory Lanez is assuming the throne. The Toronto rapper has declared himself the “best rapper alive.”

Taking to Twitter, a confident Lanez made the bold declaration and issued a warning to the competition. “IM THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE RIGHT NOW,” he tweeted. “I WILL BODY ANY OF YALL NIGGAS OUT ! PERIOD.”

According to Tory, his peers are afraid to battle him. “And for anybody denying what I’m saying … that’s cool.. just remember your favorite rapper wouldn’t step up the last time . BECAUSE NIGGAS IS AFRAID OF THIS WORK.”

He claims he offered J. Cole and Pusha-T the opportunity to battle him, but they “weren’t ready.” “Don’t tell me nothing about Cole or Pusha T Either .. some of my favorite rappers but ….. I gave them both an equal opportunity to go bar for bar with me . And they weren’t READY.”

Tory previously said he would “smoke” Pusha-T. “I love Push …. but the way I would smoke him would be unfair,” he wrote on Instagram before challenging him: “Matter fact tell him to step up too … we are accepting all smoke.”

He continued to make bold claims and vowed to prove any naysayers wrong. “I will become the biggest artist in the world one day,” added Tory. “I will also be known as the best artist at all aspects of my craft . .. I don’t care if u doubt me now . You will see for yourself in due time.”

Until someone steps up to the plate, he’s standing by his claim. “I say I’m the best rapper alive … and y’all niggas keep hitting me with the ‘what about this guy and that guy ‘ until they can step up and rap SUCK MY DICK … them niggas is trash.”

Lanez did find a challenger in Joyner Lucas. The two exchanged bars with a series of freestyles last year. “The Joyner kid, he’s nice, but he can’t fuck with me. Not on no level, period,” Tory tweeted at the time.

When he’s not looking for smoke, Tory is readying Chixtape 5, the fifth installment in his throwback mixtape series, which will include covers of T-Pain’s “I’m Sprung,” Trey Songz’ “Can’t Help But Wait,” and Fabolous’ “Trade It All.”

Starting in March, he will join Drake on the “Assassination Vacation Tour” across Europe. The 22-date trek hits cities including Paris, Dublin, Birmingham, and Antwerp, with six dates at London’s O2 Arena.
