Fresh off hosting last night’s Grammys, Alicia Keys surprises fans with new music.

The 15-time Grammy winner debuts “Raise a Man,” her first solo release since 2016’s Here. Over the soulful piano-driven track, a vulnerable Alicia sings about the responsibility of raising a man.

“Is it okay that I’m not independent? Is it okay that I show weakness?” she asks over lush keys. “Is it OK I can’t wait to see you? Is it okay to love a man right now? If you understand, then show me your hands.”

The song is poignant for Keys. She and husband Swizz Beatz are raising two sons of their own, Egypt and Genesis, who both appear on the black-and-white cover art.

During Sunday’s Grammys, Alicia also performed a piano-driven medley of songs she wish she wrote, from Drake’s “In My Feelings” to Nat King Cole’s “Unforgettable.”

“Tonight was such a musical night I decided to drop a new vibe & have some fun with y’all!!!” Alicia wrote on Instagram after wrapping her hosting gig.
