The Game Pens Poem for Lauren London
The Game continues to show his love for Nipsey Hussle.
Following the rapper’s death on March 31, the Compton rapper has posted a daily tribute to the Crenshaw legend. On Wednesday (May 1), he penned a poem dedicated to Lauren London, Nipsey’s girlfriend and the mother of his son Kross, entitled “Love never dies.”
Alongside a black-and-white photo of the rapper and actress, Game celebrated the couple’s unbreakable bond as soulmates.
“The life you were born to share / The love that can never be replaced as you were created as a pair,” wrote Game. “You & Nip found one another / As some soulmates never do / Now a picture in black & white will always be ‘Nipsey Blue.'”
Snoop Dogg responded in the comments, writing, “Cold piece.”
Each morning, The Game has shared some heartfelt words about his late friend. “Just wanted to let you know that your energy has been flowing through the city like nothing anyone has seen before,” he wrote the previous day. “You can feel it, hear it, see it & touch it… it’s real. The amount of people you’ve motivated…. the minds you’ve re-shaped… the shift you’ve caused is prodigious & I am proud to have gotten a chance to be a friend to you & exist in a space in life where I got to experience you and your profound will for change.”
He also visited Nipsey’s Marathon Clothing store the day before his memorial service at Staples Center. “Thank you for everything that you were,” said Game. “I love you forever Nip & I will do my part in making sure THE MARATHON continues.”
