Joyner Lucas Exposes DMs from Tomi Lahren
Joyner Lucas has struck a chord with his video for “Devil’s Work.”
In the powerful clip, the rapper pleads with God to bring back late legends including Tupac Shakur, Nipsey Hussle, and Michael Jackson in exchange for controversial figures including Suge Knight, R. Kelly, Laura Ingraham, and Tomi Lahren, whose photos are included alongside caskets in the video’s funeral scene.
“I really feel like you should teach them stupid hoes a lesson / Either that or give us back somebody who deserves the blessings,” raps Lucas in reference to the conservative commentators.
After the video went viral, Lahren lashed out at Lucas for the depiction. “Truly disgusting,” she tweeted. “You don’t have to like me or respect me but this is too far. This isn’t ‘art’ it’s sick.”

She also slid into the “I’m Not Racist” MC’s direct messages, asking to arrange a meeting for them to speak. Lucas shared the DMs with his 1.3 million followers on Instagram. “Although I don’t appreciate you depicting and calling for my death in your latest music video, I would like to sit down and talk with you on or off camera. Maybe we can find some common ground,” she wrote.
It’s unclear if they actually plan to meet, but Lucas seemed open to the idea. “I wonder how this conversations gonna go @tomilahren,” he captioned his Instagram post.
Lahren has stirred controversy in the past for her comments about 21 Savage following his immigration case. She has also engaged in social media feuds with rappers including Cardi B, The Game, and Wale.
Since its premiere last Thursday (May 2), Lucas’ “Devil’s Work” video has racked up over 5 million views and received a co-sign from Rihanna, who called it a “moment for the culture.”
