Dreamville Drops 'Revenge of the Dreamers III' Singles
The Revengers strike again.
After much anticipation, Dreamville serves up the first two tracks off the label’s highly-anticipated compilation Revenge of the Dreamers III—”Down Bad” and “Got Me.”
On “Down Bad,” J. Cole, Bas, JID, EarthGang’s Olu, and Young Nudy flex their lyrical muscle over production from Pluss, while the gang shows a more melodic side on the summery “Got Me” featuring the sultry stylings of Ari Lennox, Ty Dolla $ign, Omen, and Dreezy.
ROTD3 is the third installment in the compilation series, which started in 2014. The recording sessions took place in Atlanta over the course of 10 days in January, with a star-studded roster of talent including T.I., Ludacris, Wale, Metro Boomin, and Swizz Beatz.
“There were so many different energies,” Dreamville president Ibrahim Hamad told XXL in April. “The hardest part was finding how to bring those energies together and still make it feel like an album, like something that represents us. It was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. But the music is so good.”
