Bands up. Gucci Mane and Meek Mill team up and turn up in the video for their summer anthem “Backwards.”
The labelmates throw a wild mansion party in the clip, which features bikini-clad women twerking on red Rolls-Royces. Girls make out with each other in the bathroom while a shirtless Wizop holds court poolside. Meek turns the kitchen into a strip club and links with Gucci as they celebrate their come-up.
“It’s one of the most organic records you can ever make,” Gucci told Ebro on Beats 1. “It feels special. Even when we recorded it, man, just the vibe. Just sitting down talking, man, just you know what we had in our lives, man, that was special. Like two kings, it’s like salute to salute. Like man, you made it. You made it through.”
The Zaytoven-produced track is set to appear on Gucci’s upcoming album Delusions of Grandeur, which drops later this month.
