XXXTentacion's Estate Announces New Album, Documentary

  /  06.18.2019

One year after his passing, XXXTentacion’s estate is honoring his legacy with a new album and documentary.

Today, a trailer for the documentary was released featuring narration from X along with footage of him reuniting with friends and meeting fans. “There’s definitely a difference between Jahseh Onfroy and XXXTentacion,” he says. “This is the story, this is the full story, this is the last time I will tell it.”

There are also plans for a new album, which will feature some of today’s hottest stars. The project follows his posthumous release Skins, which debuted at No. 1 in November. Prior to that, he hit No. 2 with his 2017 debut 17, followed by his chart-topping sophomore album ?, which spawned the No. 1 single “SAD!”

XXX was shot and killed one year ago as he was leaving a motorcycle dealership in Pompano Beach, Fla. A grand jury has indicted four men on first-degree murder and armed robbery charges in connection with the crime.

On Tuesday (June 18), family and friends gathered at X’s gravesite at the Gardens of Boca Raton Memorial Park to pay their respects. His girlfriend gave birth to the rapper’s son, Gekyume Onfroy, on Jan. 26, three days after what would have been X’s 21st birthday.
