“Scream” is returning to the screen.
Nearly three years after Scream: The TV Series aired on MTV, VH1 will revive the series based on the popular horror movie franchise of the same name. Set in Atlanta, Season 3 features a brand-new cast of characters including Mary J. Blige, Tyga, Keke Palmer, and RJ Cyler, as well as The Notorious B.I.G.’s and Faith Evans’ son C.J. Wallace, and Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson, who makes a cameo appearance.
Season 3 revolves around Deion Elliot (RJ Cyler), a local star running back whose tragic past comes back to haunt him and threaten his hard-earned plans for the future…and the lives of his friends, who are destined to fall prey to the mysterious killer known as “Ghostface.”
Executive produced by Queen Latifah, the six-episode series will premiere over three nights starting Monday, July 8 – Wednesday, July 10 from 9 p.m. – 11 p.m. ET.
