Rick Ross Announces 'Port of Miami 2' Release Date

  /  07.16.2019

Mark your calendars.

Rick Ross has announced a release date for his 10th album Port of Miami 2. The long-awaited sequel to his debut arrives on Aug. 9, 13 years after the original Port of Miami.

He has also revealed the cover, which pays homage to the 2006 artwork and finds Ross holding a pendant featuring a photo of his late friend and manager Black Bo, who passed away in 2017.

In the dramatic trailer, Rozay is baptized in water. “I sat in a room alone, no television, no music, I just listened to my heart beat,” he says. “Are you just standing there or does your heart beat? Was you meant to die? Did you want to live or was you born to kill? Listen to my heart beat.”

So far, Port of Miami 2 has spawned the Swizz Beatz-assisted single “BIG TYME” and “Act a Fool” featuring Wale.

Port of Miami started me on this journey,” said the MMG boss. “It’s only right I bring it back to where it all started. For my day ones to the new ones, this album is for you. Tenth studio album. Get ready. Ride with me. It’s time.”
