Logic is so “Icy” in the video for his collaboration with Gucci Mane.
The flashy and comedic clip, directed by Colin Tilley, opens with an animated Logic receiving a call from his label head, who says they need to “swag him up” in order to sell more records. “We have to get you icy,” he says. “It’s 2019. It’s the year of drip.”
Logic then hits the mall to cop a grill before buying a white fur coat. He continues to elevate his drip with some icy new chains and sneakers as he rolls through the mall with some new female friends. He meets up with the Human Glacier himself, Gucci Mane, who gives him some drip tips at Icy Class 101. After being schooled by Professor Gucci, a confident Logic sips Hennessy out of the bottle and drives off in a yellow Hummer.
But things take a sudden turn when his friends rob him at gunpoint in his own car, stealing his ice and leaving him stranded on the streets before his label drops him.
“Icy” follows Logic’s video for “Homicide” with Eminem off his sixth studio album Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, which debuted at No. 1 in May.
Logic recently announced that he has signed John Lindahl as the first artist to his BobbyBoy Records. The singer, dancer, writer, and producer has worked with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland and written and produced on several of Logic’s projects. Watch the video for his single “All Day” here.
