The Bawse is coming to the big screen.

Rick Ross has landed a role in Coming 2 America, the long-awaited sequel to the popular 1988 comedy starring Eddie Murphy, reports Billboard.

The MMG mogul joins a cast that includes Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Paul Bates, and James Earl Jones, who are all reprising their former roles. Wesley Snipes and “SNL’s” Leslie Jones have also been added as new cast members, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Coming 2 America sees Murphy’s character Prince Akeem, a prince from the fictional African nation of Zamunda, returning to America in order to find his long-lost son. Hall will reprise his role as Akeem’s best friend, while Snipes will play a new character, General Izzi, a man who rules a neighboring nation.

Rozay’s role in the sequel remains unknown. His previous acting credits include Butterball in an episode of “Magic City” and G Dogg in the 2008 gangster drama Days of Wrath.

Production is slated to begin this fall. During an interview with Nick Cannon on Power 106, Ross revealed that the movie is partially being shot at his home in Atlanta, which was once owned by heavyweight champ Evander Holyfield.

“The reason I believe in it is because they filming at my estate in Atlanta,” said Rozay, who said the original movie is his favorite.

Coming 2 America is slated to hit theaters in December 2020.
