New Music: Ty Dolla $ign - 'Hottest in the City'

In addition to teaming up with Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj for “Hot Girl Summer,” Ty Dolla $ign delivers his own anthem “Hottest in the City.”

The Grammy-nominated hitmaker, who debuted the song last week on “The Tonight Show,” proves it’s also a hot boy summer on the Juicy J and Project Pat-assisted slapper, which was produced by Juicy J, Tay Keith, and Crazy Mike.

“Who the hottest in the city? Ain’t no ni**a in this bitch did it like I did it,” boasts Ty, while Juicy and Pat add their Memphis swag to the booty-bouncing track.

“Hottest in the City” follows the J. Cole-assisted “Purple Emoji” off Ty’s upcoming third studio album Tyrone, due later this year. “I just wanted to give people some good music to listen to—something that sounds different from everybody else’s shit,” he told SPIN.

Next up, he will join Chris Brown on his “INDIGOAT Tour.” The North American arena trek, which also features Tory Lanez, Joyner Lucas, and Yella Beezy, kicks off Aug. 20 in Portland.
