Snoop Dogg and Family Mourn Infant Grandson's Death
Snoop Dogg and his family are mourning the loss of his infant grandson.
The rapper’s 25-year-old son, Cordell Broadus, welcomed his son, Kai Love, on Sept. 15, but the baby died 10 days later on Sept. 25. Cordell posted a video of his daughter Eleven giving her baby brother a kiss in the hospital.
“Kai Love 9/15/19 – 9/25/19 ///// My Son Kai brought so much love and positivity into this world,” Cordell captioned the clip. “His energy will live on and these 10 days of love will always be special to us. Let’s all cherish life and those we love while we are here. Thank you.”
According to TMZ, Kai was in the neonatal intensive care unit when he passed away. The family hasn’t released a cause of death yet. The baby’s name and “Love + Light” were written on a dry erase board outside the hospital room.

Snoop’s wife, Shante Broadus, mourned her grandson’s tragic death on social media. She poured out her emotions while singing The Dells’ ’70s hit “The Love We Had Stays On My Mind.” “To My Fifth G Baby 👶🏽 Kai Love 9-15-19/9-25-19,” she captioned the heartbreaking video. Cordell responded, “Love you momma.”
Kai was Snoop and Shante’s fifth grandchild. Cordell already has a son, Zion, and daughter, Eleven.
