While 6ix9ine awaits sentencing, he’s already planning his musical comeback.
Insiders tell Page Six that the incarcerated rapper is itching to get back in the studio as soon as he’s released from prison, and has already reached out to a producer for beats.
“It looks like he will be making music right away when he comes home,” says an insider. “He already contacted a young NYC producer, and someone purchased two beats for him.”
In the wake of the fallout from his federal case, sources close to Tekashi claim he could care less about the backlash and believes that all will be forgotten once he comes home. Not only that, he thinks he will be more popular than ever with the masses.
Despite his snitching, T.I. doesn’t think a comeback is out of the question. “It’s a bunch of rats walking ’round right now,” he told REAL 92.3’s Big Boy. “This cat can come home and throw parties and the party be popping. It be full. So if muthafuckas weren’t fucking with rats, how in the hell is this party so packed? And everybody know how cuz came home. Everybody know what happened.”
Tekashi was facing a minimum of 47 years in prison after pleading guilty to racketeering and other charges, but he is expected to receive a reduced sentence in return for snitching on his former Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods members. According to the New York Daily News, he may even get time-served.
His sentencing was originally scheduled for January, but has been moved up to Dec. 18.
