Travis Scott's 'Highest in the Room' Debuts at No. 1

  /  10.14.2019

Travis Scott is the highest on the charts.

The Houston rapper rockets to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Highest in the Room,” becoming his second chart-topper and first to debut in the top spot. He previously reached No. 1 with “Sicko Mode” in Dec. 2018.

“Highest” bows at No. 2 on Digital Song sales with 51,000 sold in the week ending Oct. 10. The song also has the biggest debut for a single released separate from an album in U.S. Spotify history.

While fans will have to wait for the follow-up to Astroworld, Travis hinted that more music could be dropping soon. “I’m in no rush frankly, but I’m taking my time to come up with the next album,” he told Apple Music’s Beats 1. “I’m always down to drop music and serve some packs to the fans.”

Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” falls to No. 2 on the Hot 100 after six weeks at No. 1. She was on her way to tying the record for longest-running No. 1 by a female rapper, which is held by Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” (7 weeks).

Elsewhere in the top 10, Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber’s “10,000 Hours” makes its Hot 100 debut at No. 4. Post Malone’s “Circles” rises 8-6, Chris Brown and Drake’s “No Guidance” falls 5-7, and Lil Nas X’s “Panini” slides 8-10.
