City Girls Drop New Single 'You Tried It'

City Girls are back with “You Tried It.”

JT and Yung Miami reunite on their first single together since JT was released from prison last month. The Miami rap duo delivers more in-your-face rhymes on the brash banger, produced by DJ Chose.

“You tried it, ho / That shit ain’t work / You made him bae / I fucked him first,” they rap. “I took his check / You got a purse / He pay my bills / Yo ass at work.”

JT dropped her post-prison track “First Day Out” the same day she was released to a halfway house on Oct. 8. Later that month, Yung Miami welcomed her second child, a baby girl named Summer, with producer Southside.

The Quality Control signees recently collaborated with Ciara (“Melanin”), Lil’ Kim (“Found You”), and Saweetie (“My Type (Remix)”). They are now readying a new album, their first since 2018’s Girl Code, for an early 2020 release.
