I appreciate you guys understanding.— IGGY AZALEA #LOLA🎭 (@IGGYAZALEA) November 24, 2019
Wicked Lips was originally set to drop Nov. 22. Taking to Twitter last month, the Aussie rapper addressed the delay. “please cut me some extra slack guys, I hear your frustration about the EP delay,” Iggy told fans. “Im not ignoring your questions because I don’t care. sometimes I cant give fans explanations because I’m Just not comfortable sharing everything publicly. I appreciate you guys understanding.”
Like In My Defense, the EP was released independently via Iggy’s own label, Bad Dreams Records. Prior to that, she split with Island Records and signed a $2.7 million deal with EMPIRE.
