Usher and Ella Mai Team Up on 'Don't Waste My Time'

The R&B icon returns with his Ella Mai duet “Don’t Waste My Time,” which officially hit streaming services after leaking last month. The two show off their flirty chemistry on the Jermaine Dupri-produced track.
“Girl, give me that good lovin’, no questions / Reach out and you touch me / Bad habits, don’t judge me / Just don’t waste my time,” sings Usher before Ella adds her sultry vibes. “Let’s be lovers and friends / Let’s rendezvous / Boy, I got plans for you.”
Taking to Twitter, Ella called the collaboration a “childhood dream” before thanking Usher.
Usher has been in the studio working on a new album, a possible sequel to 2004’s Confessions. It will reportedly feature a reunion with his “Yeah!” and “Lovers and Friends” collaborators Lil Jon and Ludacris.

Usher hasn’t released a full project since 2016’s Hard II Love. In honor of his 40th birthday last year, he dropped A, his collaborative project with Zaytoven.
Meanwhile, Ella recently earned another Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album for her self-titled debut.
