Lil Wayne Says He Recorded 53 Songs in One Night

  /  03.11.2020

Lil Wayne is not the same.

The Young Money boss is a wizard when it comes to the studio and has hundreds of songs in the vault. In a recent interview with “MTV Fresh Out,” Weezy was asked about his prolific output.

“You have over 80 songs in your vault,” reporter Jamila Mustafa told Wayne, who responded by making a face insinuating that there was way more than that.

In fact, he recalled his last studio session where he recorded 53 songs in one night alone. “I did 53 songs that night,” he said.

He’s worked with everyone from Eminem to Demi Lovato, but he now has his eye on a Lizzo collaboration. “I would love to work with Lizzo,” said Wayne, who also recently collaborated with DaBaby for his upcoming project.

Tunechi, who recently dropped a video for his Funeral single “Mama Mia,” also opened up about his appearance as the Robot on “The Masked Singer.” Wayne said he was a fan of the reality competition and originally reached out to them about getting Nicki Minaj on the show. But they turned around and said they wanted him.

“She didn’t even know about that,” he said of Minaj. “She probably would’ve told me, ‘No, I ain’t doing this.’ So we don’t know how she would have felt about that either.”

Plus, watch him open up about fatherhood and the most proud moment of his career.
