Lakeith Stanfield Asks Ari Lennox on a Date on Instagram Live
Ari Lennox is finding love during the quarantine.
The Dreamville songstress was hosting an Instagram Live session while in self isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking to her 2000-plus viewers, Ari lamented about her love life or lack thereof.
“I was just sitting there shedding tears, thinking of my goddamn love life and how its exceedingly non-existent, how it’s just a pitiful mess,” she said while drinking a glass of wine.
But right after baring her heart, she got a message from Lakeith Stanfield. The Get Out star popped up in the comments to shoot his shot and ask her out on a date. “Can you be my date? Let’s go,” he wrote.
Lennox saw the comment before freaking out. “Lakeith, I don’t have time for this right now. Wait, you’re joking…” a nervous Ari responded before quickly changing the subject.
She then decided to show off her home studio before getting flustered. “I don’t even know how to say anything right now,” said Ari, who is learning to make her own beats while quarantined.
