Lil Wayne Ends Engagement with La'Tecia Thomas

Lil Wayne is calling it quits.

The rapper and his fiancée La’Tecia Thomas have ended their engagement, according to reports.

The Australian model sparked breakup rumors with her latest social media posts, which show her without her massive engagement ring. Her “Carter” necklace, previously gifted to her by her boyfriend, is also nowhere to be seen.

As AceShowbiz points out, Thomas unfollowed Wayne and all of his fan accounts on Instagram, but still follows his daughter Reginae. While they were together, she was the only person Wayne followed. But now he follows no one.

Their breakup appears to be recent. The plus-sized model was seen wearing her engagement ring as recently as April 28, but it was missing from her hand in photos from early May.

The couple, who got matching tattoos, sparked engagement rumors when Thomas was seen flaunting her massive rock on Instagram last fall. In February, they made their red-carpet debut at Wayne’s Funeral album release party in Miami.

The two met on social media after Wayne slid into her DMs while overseas last year. “I saw someone on TV and I was like, ‘I don’t know how to get in touch with this person,'” he said. “I met a very, very special person.”

Weezy even rapped about his ex on Funeral. “I got a plus-sized model, but she my lil’ mama,” he rapped on “Stop Playin With Me,” while also referencing her on “Not Me”: “You know wifey from Australia / She said ‘Cheers mate’ / Then we toast and see how you ni**as tears taste.”
