Chloe x Halle Perform Lauryn Hill, Aaliyah, & TLC Cover Mashup
Chloe x Halle are set to release their new album Ungodly Hour tonight.
Ahead of its release, the sibling duo is paying tribute to some of their favorite artists with a mashup of R&B hits from Lauryn Hill, Aaliyah, and TLC. With her sister playing keyboard, Halle kicked off the minute-long medley with Hill’s “Ex-Factor” before the sisters put their spin on Aaliyah’s “More Than a Woman.” They capped it off in perfect harmony with a cover of TLC’s CrazySexyCool classic “Creep.”
“In honor of our album coming out this week, here is a mashup of songs from a few of the artists who’ve inspired us!” they captioned the video.
Chloe x Halle’s sophomore album Ungodly Hour was supposed to drop last week, but was pushed back out of respect for current events. The album features the single “Do It” and the Mike WiLL Made-It-produced “Catch Up” featuring Swae Lee.
The sisters recently performed “Do It” from their backyard as part of YouTube’s “Dear Class of 2020” virtual commencement celebration. Watch below.
