50 Cent Responds to T.I.’s Verzuz Challenge

T.I. wants the smoke with 50 Cent.

The Atlanta rap veteran has challenged the G-Unit boss to a battle as part of Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s Verzuz series. Tip made his pitch in an Instagram video on 50’s birthday on Monday.

“For your birthday, I offer you a challenge, sir,” said the King of the South. “Pull your ass up with 20 of your records. Sit across from me, man, and get this work, man. But I understand if you don’t want to answer to that challenge ’cause last time you got challenged, Kanye West dusted your ass off. Guess who ain’t scared of your motherfu**in’ ass, 50.”

He even invited his opponent to bring some of his famous friends. “Pull on up, 50. Bring your ass on outside, Fif. Bring your hit records with you. You and Dr. Dre and Eminem and all y’all, G-Unit, y’all bring your ass on out. Come on and see the King.”

Tip made it clear that it wasn’t personal, but was confident that his catalog would win. “Me and you, we alright. I f**k with you, 50. It ain’t you this time. It’s your catalog that got some trouble. Your motherfu**in’ catalog is in trouble.”

50 responded after seeing Tip’s video, but stopped short of accepting the challenge. “yo somebody passed TI the weed they gave smokey in Friday. LOL,” he wrote.

Tip returned to reissue his challenge and even called on Kevin Hart to help facilitate the matchup. “I see the birthday boy got my message so he knows,” he said. “He didn’t accept that challenge though… He heard us and he acknowledged that he received the message.”

He also addressed comments from those who said Tip would lose. “Y’all scared of that ni**a, not me. Shut your scared ass up, get the f**k out the way, and let me handle this ni**a,” he said, adding, “I want all the smoke.”

It remains to be seen if 50 will accept the challenge. However, Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, and Snoop Dogg seemed to support the potential pairing, leaving comments on Instagram.

Ja Rule previously challenged Fif to a Verzuz battle, but 50 just brushed it off, instead mocking his rival with memes.
